Who We Are
Maryland Commandery No. 1 is a constituent Commandery of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Maryland,
carrying forward a legacy of Christian knighthood rooted in faith, discipline, and brotherhood. Through solemn ritual,
charitable labor, and fraternal fellowship, its Sir Knights seek to live the timeless ideals of honor, sacrifice, and service.
United by a shared Christian commitment, they strive to strengthen one another while serving their communities with humility and purpose.
What We Do
Modern Knights Templar are Freemasons who have taken the Christian chivalric vows of the Knights Templar,
dedicating themselves to faith, honor, and service. They seek to embody the timeless ideals of courage, charity,
and devotion while living as moral leaders in their communities. Guided by Christian principles, they strive to defend truth,
aid the suffering, and uphold the highest standards of knighthood in the modern world.
Interested in Joining Us?
To join the Commandery you must be a Freemason in good standing and a York Rite Freemason in good standing in both
a Chapter of Royal Arch Masons and a Council of Cryptic Masons. For additional information or guidance on the process,
